Stephen "Doc" Nester

Known by many simply as “Doc,” is a United States Navy/Marine Corps veteran with a deep commitment to serving others. Combining his love for motorcycles, adventure, and the outdoors, Doc founded American Core with a mission to reignite purpose, rebuild community, and foster healing among veterans and first responders.

Doc enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2000, where he earned the title of Corpsman and was quickly recognized for his dedication and grit. He was deployed to Ground Zero aboard the USNS Comfort following the attacks on 9/11 as part of Operation Noble Eagle. His service took him around the globe on humanitarian missions to Diego Garcia, Lithuania, and Estonia—and later into combat deployments in Iraq.

Throughout his military service, Doc specialized in trauma medicine and advanced medical practices-training Corpsman(Medical Augmentation Program) with 1st Mar Div. Later, he deployed to serve alongside the II MEF, (Marine Expedition Force). After surviving an IED strike in 2007, he continued to serve until his medical retirement in 2012. He went on to work in the medical field as in computed tomography, for nearly a decade, before turning his focus fully to the mission that has always driven him—taking care of his brothers and sisters in arms.

Today, Doc is a proud father, dedicated husband, and steadfast leader of American Core. With quiet strength and hard-earned wisdom, he is building a movement rooted in accountability, connection, and purpose—restoring the sense of belonging so often lost after service. Through community, shared mission, and transformative experiences, Doc continues his life’s work: bringing hope and healing to those who’ve given everything.

Bryan Kutej

Bryan Kutej is a proud United States Marine Corps veteran. His passion for service began during his time in the military, where he served as a Motor Transport Operator, Lead Vehicle Gunner, and Marine Security Guard. His deployments took him from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait to diplomatic posts in Tokyo, Mexico City, and Cairo, experiences that shaped his character and deepened his sense of duty.

After completing his service, Bryan continued that mission in civilian life. He founded Globe & Anchor Industries, a creative vehicle wrap and branding company, where he helps small businesses—many veteran-owned—stand out and succeed. His eye for detail and commitment to quality reflect the same discipline he brought to his time in uniform.

Bryan stays actively connected to the veteran community through organizations like the VFW, Marine Corps League, and various veteran nonprofit organizations. A lifelong motorcyclist, he shares a deep bond with fellow veterans on the road, using the power of shared experience and community to promote healing and connection.

Today, Bryan is a devoted husband and father of four—Judge, Sailor, Archer, and Violet. With the support of his wife, Amber, he continues to give back, using his voice and leadership to help American Core grow its impact and restore the spirit of unity and service among those who’ve served.
